At this age, play is the highest form of research. Here is how we structure their exploration:

1. The Language & Communication Explosion

Toddlers at this age are sponges for vocabulary. We move them from pointing and babbling to expressing complete thoughts.

How we do it: Daily “Circle Time” with interactive puppet theater, shadow storytelling, and action-based phonics.
The Outcome: Your child learns to name their emotions, articulate their needs, and engage in early conversations, significantly reducing frustration and tantrums.

2. Social & Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

This is the critical window where children move from “parallel play” (playing next to each other) to “interactive play” (playing with each other).

How we do it: Group activities that naturally encourage sharing, taking turns, and understanding empathy. We use “Feeling Cards” to help them process big emotions in a safe space.

3. Fine & Gross Motor Mastery

From picking up a pea to running across a playground, motor skills dictate a toddler’s confidence.

Fine Motor: Safe clay modeling, tearing and pasting, and Montessori-style pouring and sorting stations to develop the “pincer grasp” needed for future writing.
Gross Motor: Daily access to our Large Sky-Lit Terrace in Sion West. Toddlers navigate safe obstacle courses, balance beams, and ride-on toys to build core strength and spatial awareness.

4. Independence & Life Skills

We celebrate the “I can do it myself!” phase.

How we do it: Child-accessible shelves, self-feeding stations during snack time, and independent hand-washing routines.
Potty Training Partnership: We work hand-in-hand with parents to support your child’s toilet training journey positively and hygienically, with zero pressure.

9:00 AM – The Warm Welcome: Free play with sensory bins as children settle in and say their goodbyes.
9:30 AM – Morning Circle Time: Singing the “Hello” song, checking the weather, and introducing the day’s theme.
10:00 AM – The Main Atelier (Art & Cognitive Play): Finger painting, block building, or Reggio-inspired nature crafts.
10:30 AM – Community Snack Time: A focus on table manners, sharing, and trying new healthy textures.
11:00 AM – Terrace & Physical Play: Unstructured outdoor joy—running, gardening, and blowing bubbles.
11:30 AM – Story Wind-Down & Dismissal: Calming sensory activities and a happy send-off.

[COMMON PARENT QUESTIONS]

How do you handle separation anxiety?We use a phased “Gentle Separation” protocol. Parents are welcome to stay in our waiting area during the first few days. We keep goodbyes short, positive, and immediately engage the child with their favorite activity.
What if my child isn’t talking yet?Every child blooms at their own pace. Our language-rich environment, combined with our small 8:1 ratio, naturally encourages speech without pressure. We also work closely with you to share tips for home.
Is the environment completely child-proofed?Absolutely. From rounded furniture edges and soft-fall mats to sanitized, non-toxic art supplies and gated entry, safety is our foundational promise.
